       Coffee Program Set-Up Requirements
 
Dealer will:

* Revise EPOS Department Keys if needed.

* Coffee must have it’s own Category Key

* Fill out a coffee sales tracking form DAILY. (recommended)

* Coffee sales must be listed as a separate sales line category in the daily book.

Your accountant should:

* Provide you with a separate coffee sales & cost line on the p&l.

* Graph coffee sales with monthly, year to date and this year vs. last year comparisons.

* Include coffee sales in your gross profit report and other management reports we provide.

Coffee Program Set Up Requirements

Note: If your supplier does not have the items listed below, you must find another supplier.

  • Grinder
  • Brewer
  • Whole Beans ( a "dark roast" is best, no exceptions )
  • Supply of Filters
  • Air Pots ( 6 to 8 )
  • Air Pot Display Rack
  • Timer
  • Cardboard Cups
  • "Correct" Coffee Cup Lids
  • Real Cream ( ½ & ½ ) and flavored creamers AND "Coffee Mate" non-dairy creamer.
  • Sugar & Sweeteners ( Equal in blue pack, Sweet & Low in pink pack, Raw Sugar in brown pack, & regular "white" sugar in white pack).
  • Napkins
  • Stir Sticks
  • Other coffee condiments
  • POS and in-store merchandising information (coupon handouts, flyers, etc.)
  • Filtered Water is A MUST.
  • Find a fresh bakery to include, bagels, muffins, croissants, rolls and donuts.\
  • Order various sizes and shapes of coffee "travel mugs".
  • Prepare coffee "coupon specials". Advertise & merchandise your coffee program.
  • Design & set up a "professional" coffee price board.
  • Review coffee pricing and adjust (up) as necessary for all sizes sold.
  • Consider "special" or "value" pricing of coffee. Example: "Fill your thermos for $1.29".
Coffee is a destination product.
Customers go out of their way for good coffee.
